A Common BPD Trait Raging is a violent, dangerous or abusive expression of anger. It can be verbal or physical. Throwing things and yelling violently are both forms of raging. Raging is somewhat different than simply yelling. In yelling, the person is angry, and loud, but not violent. With raging it has crossed a line where the person on the receiving end is fearful and the raging person has lost at least some control of himself. A raging person is furious with anger, exasperated to fury or violently agitated with passion.
