If you are, or think that you are, in a relationship with someone who has Borderline Personality Disorder or traits of this disorder, BPD411 can help. In order to help we have put together several services that we believe will be of assistance.
Sharing your experiences with others who’ve walked that same path can help you in many ways. It can help you begin to make sense of the chaos that often goes along with caring about someone with this disorder. It can help you understand how the disorder hurts you, your children, or your relationships with others in your life. It can help you have more options and choices about how you live your life, and help you begin to heal and recover from the damage the disorder does to you.
Living your life in the aftermath of the chaos that goes along with caring about someone with this disorder can cause you to develop characteristics and behaviors much like the person that has the disorder. We call these: BPD Fleas.
Some of the ways this affects us Nons can be: depression, anxiety, confusion, isolation, loss of self, thoughts of suicide, irrational thinking patterns, loss of relationships with others, and loss of the ability to stay in your own reality, rather than the one that the BP in your life insists is real.
By gathering information about the disorder and it’s impact on you and those you care about, happens in many ways. That is why we began this web site. To help others understand and learn. We invite you to come and share with us, learn with us and eventually, pass along your learning and growth to the newbies who come along after you.
The primary mechanism for help is via the mailing lists. We only have one mailing list at the moment and will add more as necessity may require.
We can also assist you in creating a safety plan. Once you have worked off of the safety plan page, we can help you review whether your plan is sufficiently complete. Just contact us and we’ll help you to review your plan.
If you are feeling suicidal, please get help from whomever you can as quickly as possible. Contact your local suicide prevention line. If that is not possible, contact us. We will do our best to help you find resources and find other solutions.
Meet us in the real world. We have had several gatherings in the past and hope to have more in the future. Join and keep reading the mailing list for more information.
