We are often asked to provide information or services that are outside of the scope of our interest, expertise or experience. For example, we don’t work with those with the disorder directly. We don’t have services for them, and are not able to make referrals to places where they may find help and healing. This page provides a place for us to refer to sites that may provide additional resources for both those with the disorder and the Non. These first pages listed are run by people we have had positive dealings with.
BPDCentral - This page is maintained by Randi Kreger, co-author of Stop Walking on Eggshells. Randi walks in the minefield of "no man’s land" between the Non and the BP. She doesn’t take sides, and has a wealth of information for both the NonBP and those with traits of the disorder.
Mental Health Sanctuary - Patty, a self-described "recovering BP" runs this site. It is one of the best sites for borderlines who are past the denial stage (regarding having the disorder) who are serious about working on their issues. For insight into how those with the disorder are like children, the Anonymous Account of BPD page there is particularly good.
My Trip To Oz And Back - A very well documented experience of a Non with a borderline partner. This is one of the most complete "stories" available on the net. It is inspiring and instructional to see the entire process from the initial "hook" to the realization that "something was wrong" to the realization that she was being abused to finally finding healing. You are one of our favorite Nons "Chris".
Institute for the Advanced Studies of Health - http://www.nlpiash.org - We invite you to check out this site. There is a great deal of valuable information, other links, including a list of practitioners nation wide. Personally, I can’t say enough good about NLP. It, along with the Non’s lists, saved my life and my sanity. -Deedee.

One good place to look is the home page of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill http://www.nami.org/. They have support groups in every state. Unlike many county mental health center’s, these folks focus on supporting and educating the family members of those with a mental illness. After going to the NAMI web site click support. Then enter your state abbreviation and click on search. Then click on affiliates, check the city nearest you and it will give you some information. There is also a NAMI Helpline.

We strongly advise NonBPs to avoid groups with borderline members as it can trigger frequent strong PTSD flashbacks that can get in the way of your healing.
